Yummy Lemon Squares!!

Adam eating Birthday Cake

The end of May is always a busy time and this year was no exception. My cousin Sara graduated from High School and my cousin Emily graduated from the 8th grade - Congrats to them both! Last weekend was there joint party and it was lots of fun to celebrate and eat!!

Then school ended on May 26th and now I only have one more day of work before my summer break officially starts.
I also celebrated my 30th birthday last week. Dad, Eileen, and Granny took me out to dinner at Logans. Then on Friday I had a girls night out that didn't go quite as planned, but turned out to be lots of fun! I then decided to join the family at New Harmony State Park for some camping. I got to spend some good quality time with the cousins and nephews, which I always enjoy. I also took the chance to break in my new hiking boots so I will be ready for Costa Rica.
While camping I celebrated again when my sister made me a birthday cake and Lucas helped me blow out all 30 candles!! My cousin Amanda made me her famous Lemon Squares as a present!!! I hope to add a slide show later with all the pictures, but here are a few. All in all it was a great birthday! Now one more week until I leave for Costa Rica!!!

Flower Power!

Spiderwart Azaleas

I have been at my house for 2 years now and I decided it was finally time to plant some flowers. My friend Ann (a.k.a. Walnut) and her mom were nice enough to help me. They have given me lots of flowers and plants from their home. They have even helped me decide where to put everything and had to basically teach me how to plant them. It has been a lot of hard work, but very fun. So far I have azaleas, butterfly bushes, iris, and spiderwart. I also have a LOT of bulbs (paperwhites, sundrops, snowballs, surprise lilies, and daffodils). I am working on getting all of them planted and Ann's mom still has more she wants to give me. I can't wait until everything begins to really grow and bloom.
